Looking for a more integrated system to support their students and staff, Eastern Gateway Community College (EGCC) chooses Highstreet to implement Oracle Student Financial Planning (SFP). Highstreet is excited to support EGCC’s mission to provide “quality, flexibility, innovative and affordable educational opportunities” to their students.
A community college of nearly 50,000 students with campuses in both Steubenville and Youngstown, Ohio, Eastern Gateway Community College excels in their goal of providing students with affordable, high quality choices. Educating students since 1968, EGCC is excited to offer opportunities for individuals looking for a wide variety of services. Offering accredited associate degrees, certifications, programs, even community cultural events, EGCC looks to fill a gap in opportunities for residents with over 60 major areas of study. These include business, information technology, engineering, and others.
EGCC will replace their legacy system, PowerFAIDS, with Oracle’s Student Financial Planning providing the College with a more integrated Financial Aid solution.Concerned with the ability of their current system to scale at a pace that would serve tremendous enrollment growth in the coming years, EGCC sought a solution that would facilitate their projected growth with grace and efficiency. Once the implementation is complete, EGCC will see an improved customer experience unfold with the ability to see missing requirements and immediately upload the information in a single place, greatly streamlining their financial aid process.
The new SFP solution will eliminate the current, and significant, manual effort associated with integrating their legacy Student Information System (Campus Cloud) with PowerFAIDS. The new system will further improve the time required for end of term SAP processing by eliminating the multiple batch processes and manipulation required by staff members.
Eastern Gateway Community College chose Highstreet for the implementation of our Oracle Financial Planning cloud-based system. This decision was based on Highstreet’s knowledge of the financial aid process, project management capabilities, and overall attention to the college’s needs.
