Fostering Connection in a Distributed ERP Workforce

In the professional services and ERP space, fostering connection in a distributed ERP workforce is more than a goal for our company culture. It directly impacts the quality of our delivery and builds the strength of our team. This internal engagement and connection for our teams is not as a distraction from our work, but is a prerequisite for it. Recently, our team participated in three activities designed to foster communication and personal connection across our distributed workforce. We got creative with terrarium arrangement, we relaxed with a guided yoga session, and prepared dinner with a chef-led pizza making event.

Cultivating Growth: The Terrarium Workshop

During a glass terrarium workshop led by Casie of Crafty Kit, the focus was on the fundamentals of growth and care. While the session was centered on planting succulents, it provided an informal environment for team members to share personal updates. Highlighting the human side of the business—including a look at several employees’ pets—these sessions help break down the barriers that virtual work can sometimes create.

Mindfulness During the Highstreet-Graviton Integration

In an industry driven by deadlines and complex problem-solving, maintaining mental clarity is essential. We partnered with Elevent for a virtual yoga session led by Kristina Clemons. This event was particularly significant as it served as one of the first shared experiences between the legacy Highstreet team and our new colleagues from Graviton Consulting. As we integrate our teams, these moments of pause ensure our combined expertise is built on a foundation of mutual trust and shared values. The event provided a collective reset for the entire organization.

Connecting Over the Perfect Crust

The final event in this series was an artisan pizza-making session with Chef Therese Ludwig. This interactive experience allowed team members to connect over shared interests outside of technical project requirements. Welcoming new hires like Lawrence into this environment ensures that our culture remains inclusive and grounded as we continue to scale.

Ultimately, these initiatives reinforce the Highstreet culture: a commitment to accountability, long-term partnership, and a people-first approach to business. We believe that a team that grows together, delivers better. If you’re looking for a professional opportunity that prioritizes human connection as much as technical excellence, we’d love to see if there’s a seat for you at our next table.
