At the end of June 2021, Academy of Art University went live with Oracle Student Financial Planning (SFP) as their new, modern financial aid SaaS solution.
About Academy of Art
By prioritizing and blending the unique style of each student with professional knowledge and skill, Academy of Art inspires creatives both in San Francisco, CA and online. With degrees ranging from Architecture & Metal Arts to Fashion & Jewelry, students at Academy of Art have a wide variety of options when it comes to honing their artistic passion.
Yet theory and style aren’t the only things that are offered. Real-world partnerships and experience underscore the student journey at Academy of Art. These partnerships allow students to build networks and gain practical business experience all while earning their degree. They have partnered with cutting-edge companies such as Subaru, General Motors, Jaguar, Alfa Romeo & Maserati, and even NASA.
Financial Aid Shortfalls
Academy of Art runs PeopleSoft Campus Solutions version 9.2 for their student enterprise system. Their legacy PeopleSoft Financial Aid module within Campus Solutions had been heavily customized to meet internal needs, but these customizations ultimately held the financial aid team back. The clunky configurations and nonintegrated solutions resulted in a greater need for manual queries and spreadsheets. These were the drivers that led to Academy of Art’s decision to leverage Oracle’s new Student Financial Planning Cloud solution.
Transformed by the Cloud
Highstreet led the implementation of the Academy’s SFP implementation which included integrations to their PeopleSoft Campus Solutions system as well as customizations to the delivered SFP messages. These innovations allowed the Academy of Art to maximize all the benefits of cloud technology while leveraging Highstreet’s expertise to ensure that all the required functionality was realized.
With such clear dedication to their students’ academic and professional experiences driving Academy of Art to be consistently cutting edge, it was only natural that they would pursue the most innovative software solutions for their staff members.
