Highstreet celebrates 2023 by hosting Employee Engagement Activities for the enjoyment of the team. Whether it’s a team building activity, social event, or an educational workshop, Highstreet fosters a unique interactive experience for everyone. Highstreet would like to thank employees by sending out exciting virtual events. Highstreet hosted a Wine tasting, beer and cheese tasting, and a winter painting session. There was a lot of laughter, fun, and everyone learned something new about each other.
Wine Tasting
Highstreet celebrates 2023 by starting with a wine tasting event from the One Hope winery. The host for the evening was Jes Landau, a wine specialist from New York!
One Hope started back in 2007 with only 168 cases of wine in a white pickup truck. Now they’re grown to become a modern, state of the art flagship winery in the heart of the Valley. They donated over $10 million to local and global causes. They are a non-profit that promotes a special kind of fundraiser. 10% of event purchases support a cause of your choice. With four bottles delivered to each event participant the Highstreet team not only had a wonderful night full of cheer, but they also provided support to Hoardin’ Huskies. Hoardin’ Huskies is a husky rescue and was selected in support of one of Highstreet’s team members.(Hoardin’ Huskies is a husky rescue and was selected in support of one of Highstreet’s team members whose relative passed but had a special interest in helping these huskies)
Jes Landau taught the lesson of the 3 S’s in order to follow in order to enjoy your wine: Swirl, Sniff, and savor. While all the wines were tasteful, Jessica particularly enjoyed the Vintner Rose. Then we moved on to the last and everyone favorite, Vintner Cabernet sauvignon.
Beer and Cheese Tasting
This beer and cheese tasting this past year was delicious and fun. Highstreet employees were all too thrilled to be on the call with an interactive and fun host, Ethan from “Unboxed Experiences” by City Brew Tours. Unboxed Experiences was created in 2008 by their founder, Chad Brodsky. The box contained two pepperoni stick options, a bag of nuts, three chocolates, three different types of beers, and three different types of cheese to pair with. The two pepperoni sticks were made up of a spicy jalapeño and a regular type of pepperoni stick. The three different types of beer were German porter, fantasyland, and zwickel, and the cheese pairings were brickhaus tilsit, aged windsordale, and sriracha windsordale.
Despite some team members not considering themselves beer enjoyers, many ended up loving the selection. The chocolate provided in the tasting kit was so good, it was gone before the event even started and the unique selection of cheeses paired perfectly with the beer. The only complaint was that it should have been longer!
Painting session
Fitting with the colder season, a winter wonderland painting was on the books for the Highstreet team. Everyone got their own paint set from PaintNite. PaintNite is endorsed and run by local artists who are there to make sure all attendees have a fun time! Each package was sent out with canvases, paint, and brushes sent in a box that doubled as an easel. Along with the kit, comes a code to log into a meeting with their very own personal virtual instructor who takes everyone through a step-by-step process to create their very own memory with friends and family. Looking Forward to Next Year
Highstreet celebrates 2023 with a special three class event, but we also like have these engagement events four times per year, once per quarter of the year. During these events Highstreet sends out 20 extra dollars for each employee to have a nice meal during the event. These events differentiate—painting classes, cookie decorating, street tacos, beer and cheese tastings, wine tastings, and many more act as a big “thank you” to Highstreet’s talented team. Highstreet hopes that these events help our team members to feel more connected to each other and more connected to their families whom join in these events.
The wine, beer and cheese tasting combined with a winter painting session provided engaging and enjoyable experiences for Highstreet team to explore their holiday spirit and artistic abilities– all while donating to a cause of their choice. At Highstreet we would like to thank our employees for all of their time, talent, and expertise. Highstreet truly would not be the place it is without such a spectacular team.
