To align with these goals and modernize their business processes, the Henry County Board of Education adopted a community-inspired Strategic Action Plan. A key component of this plan was the implementation of a new enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution. They decided Oracle Cloud ERP and EPM was the the best to accomplish their goals.
Finance and Budgeting Transformation
HCS’s legacy on-premise system was nearing its end of life, and as the last remaining school district utilizing that software, there were additional challenges unique to their situation. This made streamlining financial processes and strategic planning more difficult. Recognizing these challenges, HCS partnered with Highstreet to implement Oracle Cloud ERP, EPM, HCM, and Payroll.
Through this project, HCS has achieved significant improvements in their financial operations:
- Streamlined Financial Processes: Core areas like financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting have been optimized, reducing complexity and saving time.

The on-time go-live of Oracle Cloud ERP and EPM in March 2024 was a significant step. HCS is already realizing the benefits, and further optimization is underway. With payroll and HCM modules launching in September 2024, HCS is prepared for a complete departure from their legacy system by the year’s end.
