To wrap up the second quarter, Highstreet hosted two employee engagement activities – a painting class and a Taboo game night! Highstreet’s company culture is important, and quarterly events is one of the ways we celebrate that. Between the two virtual experiences, employees were given the option to participate in whichever event they desired and were given a $20 food & drink stipend to really kick-off the evening. The Taboo Game Event hosted by Confetti and instructed by Charlie brought out employees’ competitive side, while PaintNite hosted by Yaymaker and instructed by Debbie allowed employees to express their creative side and show off their artistic abilities. With a food and beverage credit, the fun began!

Taboo Game Night
Once split into two teams, the Hall of Famers and the Social Butterflies, team members guessed the word without using any of the other Taboo words listed on their card. In round 7, teammates were trying to guess the clue word, “apple”, without using any of the Taboo words shown above. After a lot of fun and friendly competition, the Hall of Famers came out in first place with a score of 57 points. The Social Butterflies were not far behind with a score of 49 points. Congratulations to the Hall of Famers: Christine, Carolyn, Jenn, Bill, and Natalie!
Painting Class by PaintNite
With the painting supplies delivered straight to their door, each employee received step by step instructions from a professional while working to create their own masterpiece. Pam Mentzer being quite the artist that she is, painted a real masterpiece. Bruce Moore, who let his creativity show, went freestyle and painted his own version of Dune Path. Other’s took inspiration from the classics—Natalie was inspired by her favorite sea creature and Sandro Botticelli’s The Birth of Venus. Manatee inspiration aside, PaintNite was an excellent opportunity for team members to sit back, relax, and get creative.
The Culture At Highstreet
Dedicated to making each person feel like a part of the team, a part of the Highstreet culture is hosting quarterly employee engagements like the one above. Last time the Highstreet team got together like this, Highstreet turned over the new quarter with a digital pasta making course. Thank you Confetti and Yaymaker for evenings full of competition, creativity, and delicious treats.
