Getting your head in the Cloud while keeping your feet on the ground.
In September 2017, San Joaquin Delta College (SJDC) began its journey to the Cloud. The effort was divided into two parts; 1. Finance, Procurement and Budgeting, and 2. HCM and Payroll. This session will cover the struggles, successes, and lessons learned by a public college during its journey to the Cloud.
Representatives from SJDC will share their experiences and what lead them to a successful implementation of Release 12 of Oracle Cloud applications for Finance, Procurement, and Planning and Budgeting, followed by an upgrade to R13 and the successful implementation of Oracle Cloud HCM, Performance and Learn. The next step in their transition will be Time and Labor Payroll that will go live on April 1, 2019.
Find out what important actions SJDC took, things they wish they had done, and the most critical challenges they faced and are still overcoming as a public college implementing a Cloud enterprise solution. SJDC will discuss their selection process and working with implementation partners, implementing a phased approach, integrations, appropriate post-go-live support, organization and workforce impacts, behavior changes, and ongoing challenges.
