According to Oracle’s Top Ten Cloud Predictions (2019), it will no longer be necessary to expect IT organizations to respond to managing the technology ecosystem.

Data is a crucial organizational asset and it must always be available, trusted, and secure. The first step to ensure higher availability is to eliminate a broad collection of maintenance activities, such as patching, updates, and upgrades while the system is running.

Autonomy will enable organizations to bring applications online faster, cheaper, and more reliably, without investing in additional skills or people. Looking forward, Oracle expects a huge proportion of businesses to explore similar autonomy for every aspect of data management.
