Oracle Social Network (think Enterprise Facebook with more privacy and control) is probably the most powerful yet underutilized feature in the Oracle Cloud application.
With the pressures of executing a Cloud ERP project under tight constraints, the Oracle Social Network feature often ends up at the bottom of the priority list. Even so, make sure to add it to the top of the post go-live list to implement and you’ll be able to improve collaboration, increase productivity, and provide better communication among your colleagues.
Oracle Social Network comes pre-integrated with your Cloud application, integrates with your mobile devices with iOS and Android Apps, and connects with your Outlook, etc.
When using the Oracle Social Network, a social object like a PO or Sales Order can be created in the system – where all relevant stakeholders can be brought together to collaborate – while keeping records of everything that transpired with an actual link to the very transaction object that gets created (such as PO number, contract number, etc.).
So, no more chasing down inboxes for old emails, file folders, etc.
Oracle Social Network also supports features like instant messaging, private and public posting walls, etc.
