Life Events is the event processes that allows employees to update key personal data and benefit enrollment information through eBenefits in self-service.
Four life events are delivered (Birth, Adoption, Marriage, and Divorce) but NEW life events can be created by cloning an existing event. After the event is cloned, it can be modified for your purposes. You can also choose to build new life events specific to your company.
If using Life Events with PeopleSoft Fluid, you will use the Activity Guide Composer pages to clone or create new templates. This streamlines the process for employees and Administrators by allowing employees to initiate the life event, attach documentation, when needed, and initiate the benefit enrollment process. Employees can go back to any previous steps and make changes prior to completing their benefits enrollment. After an employee completes a life event, they can print their own formatted Benefits Enrollment Summary Statement.
The presentation of the Life Events will guide the users through the steps to complete for each life event. The activity guide can be configured to make steps required and/or to require steps be completed in sequential order. Certain text can be configured within the activity guide.
Administrators and employees will be pleased with the simplification of the configuration and the presentation.
