The Chicago Park District (CPD), currently running Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), has contracted with Highstreet to modernize their ERP system through an implementation of Oracle Cloud. CPD uses Oracle EBS, and its associated Oracle databases, to perform mission-critical Finance, Human Resources, Payroll, and Procurement functions that allow them to perform their day-to-day operations in accordance with their goal of revolutionizing the way government does business. Highstreet is excited to support CPD’s transformational goal which includes implementing Oracle ERP Cloud, Procurement Cloud, HCM Cloud, and Payroll Cloud.
The Chicago Park District (CPD) owns more than 8,800 acres of green space, making it the largest municipal park manager in the nation. The Chicago Park District’s more than 600 parks offer thousands of sports and physical activities as well as cultural and environmental programs for youth, adults, and seniors. The Chicago Park District is also responsible for 28 indoor pools, 50 outdoor pools, and 28 miles of lakefront including 23 swimming beaches plus one inland beach. From canoeing to soccer fields to arts and crafts, there is never a shortage of activities at Chicago’s parks.
With the project being kicked off on February, 15th and one solid month of progress set, Josh Ezring, Highstreet’s VP of Sales places the go live within a year. Chicago Park District is migrating from Oracle e-Business Suite to the next generation Oracle ERP and HCM Cloud Suite and is committed to revolutionizing the way government does business to ensure better accountability and service to the public. They have developed a strategic plan which along with their vision, mission and core values defines their path toward institutional excellence that will keep Chicago one of the world’s best places to live, work, and play. By facilitating this implementation Highstreet is supporting this vision by increasing business efficiency and accuracy with key capabilities in Oracle Cloud like embedded analytics, utilizing Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence to meet the district’s reporting requirements, and leveraging automated invoice processing and vendor self-service to help automate and facilitate the business processes to make the district more efficient.
