Implementing Oracle Student Management Cloud at a 22-College System
Sometimes business partnerships run deep, that’s why Highstreet hosts College interns each summer and winter in addition to our Highschool interns. Partnering with a client on a project is rewarding but working with them to provide professional opportunities for their students takes it to another level. We’re dedicated to the success of their school and their students.
By using Oracle ERP Cloud for their finances and ADP for their human resources and payroll software, Bellevue has some unique challenges. The simplest, yet most complex, of these challenges is maximizing both platforms and the investment made by implementing them. Highstreet reinvented these challenges to be opportunities and the results spoke for themselves.
We also like to push the envelope and drive technology solutions forward. That’s why we decided to be the first company ever to interface Oracle Cloud to Banner & Destiny. Our Highstreet team accomplished all of this in just a few months to replace a home-grown system which had taken more than 10 years to fully develop. Now you can focus on core business issues instead of data validation.
Transitioning from On-Prem solutions to the cloud can be challenging, but Illinois Central College reminds us why this move to the cloud becomes a stepping stone. It allows schools to free up resources, take advantage of their modernized hosted system and work toward a roadmap to their SaaS solution. Highstreet is excited to be partnering with Illinois Central College, helping to realize the dream of modernized systems that are efficiently managed systems while reducing the overall cost of maintaining the system.
In 2018 Portland Public Schools started to reinvent themselves—both their physical campus as well as their IT Infrastructure. The district’s sizable enterprise resource planning (ERP) install was nearing its end of life. The IT team looked at either refreshing its on-premises hardware or migrating their PeopleSoft platform to Amazon Web Services (AWS). With limited staff and time to perform the work, they would need to rely on external resources to perform the migration with no downtime.
Not only do we push the bounds of what is technically possible, but we push the bounds of how quickly an implementation can happen. Four weeks to finish an implementation? It can be done.
