Spring Arbor University is now live with Oracle Cloud Customer Experience as well as Oracle Eloqua! This was a great team effort between Spring Arbor University, Oracle, and Highstreet staff team members. This was the first step of a full-suite implementation including Student Financial Planning, Financials (ERP), Enterprise Performance Management (EPM), Student Management Cloud, as well as Human Resources. With the goal of modernizing their recruitment and marketing processes, the highly dedicated SAU team worked with such a collaborative spirit which resulted in a great digital transformation. Working with the Spring Arbor team was an ideal partnership as they engaged in the process from start to finish, taking full ownership of the product and acting as excellent consulting partners.
Located in Spring Arbor, Michigan, SAU was established in 1963 and is the second largest evangelical Christian university in the state. They offer over 70 undergraduate programs, and many graduate programs, several of which are available online through SAUonline. They even have made available to students the additional option of attending one of their Offsite Learning Centers in Michigan or Ohio. With a student body of 3,300, SAU balances size and quality with their average class size being only 15 students.
SAU migrated from Salesforce to CX Sales and performed four rounds of data conversion to ensure they had quality data to drive effective marketing campaigns. They converted over 250k student records into CX contacts and approximately 2.5MM activities, 20,000+ college applications and approximately 150k transcripts along with many other datasets that included business accounts, leads, opportunities, tests, dual-enrollment, Financial Aid and Athletics information. Eloqua replaced Pardot and the organization is excited for the seamless integration between CX Sales and Eloqua, which further increases SAU’s ability to reach out effectively to potential students.
The Spring Arbor University team is excited to see CX and Eloqua solutions digitally transform their organization, pushing forward growth and support for their admission pipeline and student services. The CX Cloud roll-out enables SAU to collect and integrate data from multiple channels leading to quicker response times to prospective students, potentially resulting in winning that student over from another University.
Replacing disparate systems with an ecosystem of products that interface their data in real-time allowed the Spring Arbor admissions representatives to see a 360 view of their prospects and students from a single point of view. They can leverage their Outlook interactions, track prospect web traffic, see all campaigns the candidate has interacted with, and then track all other teams working to recruit the student. The reps view Financial Aid, Student Enrollment, Athletics, and standardized test scores from the same system.”

Eloqua has helped SAU evaluate the effectiveness of their campaigns and whether changes need to take place to be more effective. Another added benefit is the real-time email responses and after the campaign finishes, the metrics associated with that initiative are readily available to help increase effectiveness. More relevant data is provided in Eloqua which ensures SAU’s campaigns are productive. These integrated systems provide end-to-end lead management capabilities which helps SAU source more quality leads from multiple marketing channels.
